Ultraman One (ウルトラマンワン Urutoraman Wan^?) is the main protagonist of his series, he bonded with SACD member One Otari. As the son of Zero and Zeth, One was born from the King's Temple, he became a powerful Ultra after overcoming from his past sins. Alongside Xena and Giga, One founded the term Elite Warriors (エリート戦士 Erīto Senshi^?). During his older days, One married Lila and fathered their daughter Jane and under Genesis Messiah's orders, One joined the Scorpium Ultras to defeat Evil Messiah. He was also the first Ultra to be created by Excerlics (Zhu Huong Ng).

Personality

Driven with determination and boosting energy to become stronger as an Ultra, he was deeply inspired and focused on winning his battles even while training in his youth. He was also compassionate to his friends and family and displayed a firm resentment towards others who insulted them and appreciating the culture of his bloodline. This came with weaknesses, such as his impatient nature and the underestimation of his foes which lead to his defeat but after maturing from his past self, One started trusting his comrades more and having faith in his own strength and the power of bonds. As a veteran fighter, One inspired the younger Ultras and was courageous in responding to his affection towards Lila as well as being the guidance for Jane and not following his past footsteps. All those become the reasons for receiving the entrustment of Genesis Messiah, who shared a similar relationship and trust with Cure.

History

Post Ultra Zero Fight

Since young, One was determined to become a protector and often followed his father's mission to promote universal peace and forming a close mutualism with the Ultimate Force Zero. He regularly visited his maternal grandmother Tina and honored her deceased husband every year as he followed his mother and formed a close friendship with Lila at King's Temple, as well as Xena and Giga while studying in Land of Light's elementary school. After graduation, One was trained under the Leo Brothers as Zero entrusted One to defeat Belial, who was revived recently. Out of curiosity, One disobeyed the rules and brought his childhood friends to a nearby Moon for training and fell into a trap schemed by Belial. While One and Xena were almost sucked into a blackhole, Giga sacrificed himself to save them and was dragged into another universe and this forced Xena to end their friendship. As punishment, One was exiled towards the King's Temple's dungeons by the Ultra Brothers while his parents could only express their disappointment. One almost turned rebellious but Ultraman King constantly advised him of his wrongdoings. He was subsequently released from imprisonment, as approval for his redemption many centuries later.

Climatic Battle! Ultraman One and Ultraman Reuz vs Faust!

Landing on a strange planet after wandering in space, One fought against Reuz and was wounded despite defeating his opponent during the battle. One was escorted back to the Land of Light, where his father reprimanded One for his recklessness. After establishing a friendship with Reuz, One and his allies from the same homeworld arrived on Land of Darkness and faced off against Belial and Faust, and everyone received assistance from S (Sorta). One was part of the heroes required to bring back Uzone into reality through his "essences" and finally defeated Dark Baron, a fusion of Belial and Faust.

While Uzone was reunited with Noa in Project N Universe, One reconciled with Xena, as both of them vowed to find their lost friend and joined as elite warriors in the Space Garrison.

Ultraman One, episode 1-14

Many years after Mebius left the Earth, One became the planet's newest guardian and arrived during the rampage of Spider Zetton. He later merged with One Otari, after witnessing the latter's willingness to sacrifice his own life to protect innocent lives. As Spider Zetton was proven as a tough challenge, One was almost killed until Xena arrived to save his childhood friend as both of them worked to defeat Spider Zetton. As Otari, One later remeets the human form of Lila.

During a losing battle against Alien Magician, he was saved by the appearance of Giga, as One and Xena subsequently celebrates their reunion at the Land of Light. One received assistance from Reuz after Alien Luna petrified him and immediately encountered his greatest challenge in the form of One Darkness. Despite suffering serious wounds during their first battle, One managed to defeat his dark template via Crescent Form, empowered through the energies of moonlight. Said form also allowed One to free his master Leo and his grandfather Ultraseven from the Kaiser Spark's influence. His role on Earth was temporarily replaced by Ace, as One headed home to recuperate after exhausting himself to destroy Armored Eight King before returning to save Ace from the hands of Jurugomo Phantom. One subsequently received support from his parents, he teamed up with his father and awakened Wisdom mode for the first time in order to foil Treedon's plans of terraforming the entire planet. One's reputation within humanity was later ruined by One Darkness, who was capable of annihilating One via his Calamity Form. In truth, One was rescued by his mother Zeth and reappeared to confront Kato for infiltrating with the SACD as Otari. One fought a deathmatch battle with One Darkness, and was defeated a second time, but his sheer bonds with the SACD allowed them to revive him and unleashed the Lightning Spark to purify the dark influence inside One Darkness.

Ultraman One and Ultraman Reuz vs Showa Ultra : Cho Final Showdown

One later joined forces with Reuz after the Ultra Brothers from his home was corrupted by Emperor and thrown to another universe. One and Reuz eventually destroyed Emperor and his evil plans after venturing towards the past timelines and freed the brainwashed Ultra Brothers. Sometime later during the events of Ultraman One, Draco and Reuz Hyper Battle: Dance with the Dance Spark, One worked with Reuz once more and Ultraman Draco in the battle against Space Petron, a villain who hunted down the legendary Dance Spark.

Ultraman One, episode 17-19

One and One Darkness, who renamed himself as "Ultraman Kato" and joined forces against the threats of Spider Zetton Giganto and Hell-Death, and fought alongside Xena and Giga. However, One and his comrades were easily defeated when Belial descended on Earth after he forcibly controlled Zero and demonstrated his might as Zero Darkness. One and his childhood friends managed to recover their light after Zero was expelled from Belial and freeing Zena Wakura's from the dark Ultra's possession and not wanting Kato's sacrifice to be in vain. With his father returning home to destroy the armies of Darkclops, One battled against Belial after Xena and Giga were forced to deal with Geist Clones of themselves. After peace was restored, One separated from Otari and departed for the Land of Light with his childhood friends.

Ultraman One vs Ultraman Virus: Darkness Corruption

5 years later, One returned to Earth when Lila was mysteriously abducted and took Otari as his human form to revive him before proceeding to destroy a pair of King Joes. While killing the underings from the Virus Army, One received assistance from his childhood friends. One subsequently approached Ultraman Virus at Atlantis, he heeded Xena and Giga's advices to conserve his energies but was defeated and corrupted by Virus instead. With the Lightning Spark utilized to reverse Virus' intentions of turning Earth into a wasteland, Zero battled against Virus after freeing Xena and Giga from their crucified state before both of them fused into Seminar to save One from the dark influence. One was later entrusted to rescue Lila, who suffered a similar fate and succeeded with doing so through the power of love. One, Xena and Giga fought a final battle with Virus after Zero was petrified but was defeated when Virus forcibly fused with The Dark Matter. Refusing to lose hope, One and his childhood friends renewed their friendship and became Contrast. After a difficult battle, Contrast managed to defeat Fusion Virus and save the Earth. As part of the victory celebrations, One and Lila completed their marriage with blessings from their closed ones before returning back to the Land of Light.

Ultraman One Versus Ultraman Orion: Unleash the Power

One appeared in this crossover, meeting Orion and learning from him about being more confident about himself and his powers, working together to combat the threat of Ever Darkness and Vermijer.

Ultraman One (Season 4-5) and Light and Darkness

Centuries later, One and Lila had a daughter named Jane, who was sent to investigate the strange happenings in the K76 Universe. One was followed by Zero, his childhood friends, and the first five Ultra Brothers to investigate a similar phenomenon in Scorpio Nova Universe. One met Genesis Messiah and Cure, as the latter aided One and his comrades to eliminate SnakeWheel. One and his childhood friends were thrown into Planet Stormy, where they fused into Contrast to defeat Ex-Elemental Tanothor. At Magium World, One protected Dark Sceptor from getting corrupted before fighting a Soulless Copy of himself and joining Xena and Giga as Contrast once more to kill Emperor, who wanted redemption before his death. With his comrades returning to the Showa Universe earlier on, One was entrusted to end the threat of Virus. The latter managed to defeat One and Cure and succeeded to trigger a universal explosion, which was later prevented by Genesis Messiah.

As One received the power of Genesis from the great deity, he joined the Scorpium Ultras and those from the Land of Light in the mission of killing Evil Messiah. Despite overcoming the evil deity's power of void, Evil Messiah was capable of overpowering everyone in terms of melee combat. The battle tides were changed when One awakened his final form, Hexagonal from the encouragement he received and Cure merging with the other Scorpium Ultras to put an end to Evil Messiah. One and Cure later visited K76 Universe and provided aid for his daughter as well as Spectrum and Azura in ending Civilisation, a creation of Evil Messiah. After participating in the marriage between Jane and Spectrum, One recruited him and Azura to live in the Land of Light and knew his son-in-law's true origins.

Subsequent History

In Ultraman Geed (Reboot Series), One and his family rescued Zero from his near-death experience, and used most of his power to destroy Belial's newest army but failed to prevent the Crisis Impact from occurring, forcing King to merge with universe to reverse the damage and save everyone. Throughout the series, he was concerned with the condition of his father during his slumber and observed the final battle between Geed and Belial. In the following events, One guarded Geed’s Earth with Cure and Virus. He finally met Riku and his friends after Gilbaris’ demise.

Unite! Ultras from 26 Universes: Defeat the Dark Sorcerer!

One later traveled to Primodial Light Universe during the events of Ultraman Zora. After being about the threat of Kumasaga from Virus and Cure, One subsequently ventured to another universe, joining Genesis Messiah's campaign to recruit Ultras from across the multiverse. One contributed towards the ending of Kumasaga, after helping the others to defeat the Fusion Beasts.

Body Features

• Protectors: One's protectors on his chest, which looked identical to his father's. As the sturdiest part of his body, they provide One additional resistance against attacks.
  • Crystals: In his Wisdom and Hexagonal forms, the protectors became crystal-like with invisible lines which greatly amplify his ability to solar recharge.
• Color Timer: A circular Color Timer, which serves to measure his energy level.
• Triple Sluggers: One possesses triple crest weapons attached to his forehead.
  • In Hexagonal Form, he possesses six of them instead.
• Beam Lamp: A forehead crystal, which allows One to fire beams.
  • In Hexagonal Form, he possesses three of them and are diamond-shaped instead.
• Ultra Armor: One's skin is resistant against fire and lasers. Being a green Ultra, One also has a natural tolerance towards cold and chemical explosions. This resistance is carried over to other forms.
• Star Shuriken: In his Hexagonal form, One sport a shuriken star on his back.

• Emerium Cannon: A greenish energy beam fired from his Beam Lamp.
  • Rainbow Slash: In his Normal Form, One can fire multiple energy cannons of different colors from his Beam Lamp instead.
• One Edge: One fires orange-colored energy bullets from his hands.
• One Pure Shift: Learned from Giga during his return, One fires a blue wave towards the sky and creates his own version of Nexus' Meta Field.
• One Barrier: A powerful square barrier erected with both hands. With the barrier in place, One can also convert an enemy's attack into energy and blast it back to them as an energy bomb or fire an electrical beam.
  • One Hyper Seal: One disperses golden energy waves surrounding the original environment to prevent outer interference or unnecessary casualties during a battle. When he first used this, he was empowered by Xena, Giga and Reuz’s energies.
• One Bracelet: A bracelet on his right arm, though the weapon originated from his deceased maternal grandfather, and One received it as a gift from Zeth.
  • Solar Light: A powerful flash of light from the bracelet. This light helps One to navigate across space. The light also served as an energy reserve during emergencies, before he obtained the Lightning Spark, which either allows him to empower himself or restores an ally's energy.
  • Form Change: When needed, the bracelet enables One to change into his other forms.
  • Dimensional Door: Initially an ability limited to his Wisdom Form, One's growth allows him to travel across dimensions and other universes even in his Normal Form. He can travel with passengers as well after opening a portal via his bracelet.
  • Acceleration and Teleportation: Initially exclusive to his speed-based forms, One's growth gave him the ability to accelerate at fast speeds to dodge an enemy attack and use it as a form of teleportation ability to travel to another location even in other forms. His ability to recover from injuries becomes faster too.
• One Sluggers: Crest weapons similar to his father's Zero Sluggers, One usually wields two of them in combat while controlling the third one mentally. While attacking, they produce blue energy slashes.
  • One Shuriken: The sluggers can be combined into a star-shuriken, where One mainly uses it to slice through foes.
• Lightning Spark: One was chosen as the spark's destined owner, where he utilizes the device in place of the One Bracelet. The spark instead acted as a placeholder for him to use the bracelet's associated powers.
  • Shuriken Spark: A trident weapon crafted from his Lightning Spark and the One Sluggers, allowing him to use both weapons simultaneously.

Normal

One's basic and birth form, where he focuses on manipulating solar energies to enhance his ranged attacks and physical attacks as well as giving him a balanced fighting style. In this form, he is equally powerful as his father.

Special Moves

• One Cross Shot: One's primary finisher in this form. One gathers swirls of red and green energies similar to his father's Zero Wide Shot before firing a "+" style energy beam to finish off the opponent.
• One Timer: After gathering energy from his Beam Lamp, One fires a powerful energy wave from his Color Timer to burn his opponents.
• One Rainbow Light: Originally an attack exclusive to his Rainbow Form, One's growth in character allows him to perform the same attack in this form. First used to defeat Belial in the series, and subsequently events when the situation demands him.
• One Double Shot: A powerful orange beam from his both hands, mainly used to knock back foes with the attack's tremendous strength.
• Triple Sluggers Slash: By placing his sluggers on the connectors found in his Color Timer, One fires a powerful bluish beam from his chest and is more powerful than his One Cross Shot.
• Vision Beam: An orange beam fired from both eyes, capable of causing destructive damage to the surroundings.

• Space Martial Arts (宇宙拳法 Uchū Kenpō^?): Trained under the Leo Brothers and Zero, One adopts a similar fighting style and is naturally talented in applying the skills of a martial arts master.
  • Ultra One kick: A powerful flying kick with his foot energized with flaming energies.
  • One Punch Breaker: An energized punch, with his fists charged with flaming energies.
  • One Chop: One performs an energized chop of flaming energies.
  • One Head Power: A powerful headbutt attack.
  • One Ram: One charges his body with energy, before he rams at the enemy.
  • One Lifting: One gathers strength to lift up foes with his hands before throwing them further from himself.

• Ultra Combination Stream: One can combine his One Cross Shot with other Ultras to create a more powerful ray.
• Ultra Final Drift: In Ultraman One vs Ultraman Virus: The Darkness Corruption, One combined his One Rainbow Light with Xena and Giga's strongest attacks in a failed last resort to defeat Fusion Virus.

Blaze

One's red form, where he compensates the lack of speed in exchange for greater strength. He fights more aggressively and usually ends his foes in a brutal manner

• One Blazium Beam: Charged in the same way as his One Cross Shot but fiery energies are gathered instead, One fires an "X" style orange beam which can reduce the opponent into ashes.

• One X Slugger: While wielding his sluggers and empowering them with flaming energies, One can leave an X-shaped cut on his opponent and cause them to be weakened.

• Blaze Kick: An enhanced version of Normal Form's Ultra One Kick.
• Blaze Punch: An enhanced version of Normal Form's One Punch Breaker. In this form, One can repeatedly punch his foes.
• Counter Chop: While in close combat, he can defend himself from an opponent's attack with one hand and use the other to perform a cross chop to stun them and break free of their grip.

Agile

One's blue form and as a contrast of his Blaze Form, One trades-off his strength in exchange for greater speed. He adopts a calming fighting style and ends his battles in a peaceful way.

• One Vanisher: One's finisher in this form. One simply crosses his arms in "L" in order to fire a blue beam and destroy the enemy with a single blow.

• Agile Punch: An enhanced but faster version of Normal Form's Ultra One Kick, blue discharges are now seen.

• One Phoenix Aura: One activates an aura of rainbow energies and effectively uses it to protect himself from harm. He can release the aura as a concentrated wave of light or perform an Ultra Dynamite-like attack, which is enough to instantly destroy the enemy. A non lethal variant of the former version was used to free Trident from Voiderium's effects.
• One Rainbow Light: One's finisher in this form. One covers himself with rainbow energies before firing an energy beam from his entire body. This attack has the potential to dissipate the opponent into light particles.

One’s golden and strongest natural form, which grants him an incredible boost to all his stats. First appeared to defeat Treedon alongside Zero, One properly used this form during the battle against Emperor and Virus.

• Wisdom Core: One can release his inner prismatic energies, in the form of golden energy barrages from his entire body. This attack completely removes the presence of darkness energies and turns them into light energies.
  • Omni Arrow: A variant of Normal Form’s One Edge and the Wisdom Core, mainly used to purify other beings from impurities. This attack is released in the form of a gigantic arrow of prismatic energies.
• Wisdom Shield: One summons an aura of prismatic energies, which allows him to become impervious to his enemies attack.
• One The Ultimate: Wisdom Form’s most powerful attack and stronger version of Rainbow Form’s One Rainbow Light. One gathers prismatic energies before firing a massive energy bolt and is capable of obliterating most of his foes.
• One The Reverse: Learned from his father’s Shining Star Drive, One disperses a rainfall of golden particles and reverses any form of damage as well as reviving the dead if necessary.
• One Especially Blow: A powerful finisher which combines the Wisdom Ray and Wisdom Core as well as Reuz’ powers to finish off Emperor.

• Dimensional Drove: Learned from his father, One used it to enter and exit the body of Birdon and Gan-Q respectively. This attack destroys them at the same time after One detonates the dimensional that linked both of them with energy.

• Solar Manipulation: One’s ability to absorb and manipulate solar energies is amplified to the maximum extent. Hence while taking on this form, One is constantly recharged with energies from multiple Sun-like stars across the universes.
  • Empowerment: One is covered with an aura of solar energies, which is used to empower himself and enhance his attacks.

• Sixtuple Sluggers: In this form, One possesses 6 of his One Sluggers. When needed, he can amplify the amount summoned (Max: 100) as energy projection to aid him in combat.
  • Sixtuple Sluggers Slash: An evolution of Normal Form’s Triple Sluggers Slash, fired via his Sixtuple Sluggers instead.
• Shuriken Star: The star can be used as his secondary weapon.
  • Shuriken Halo: One grabs the Shuriken Star and uses it as a powerful cutter halo to slice foes apart.
  • Shuriken Clusterium: A barrage of energy slashes launched from the weapon.

Special Moves

• Final Cross Shot: An evolution of his Normal Form’s One Cross Shot. As this attack unleashes solar energies instead, One has named the attack as Hexagonal Stream.
• Hexagonal The Final: An evolution of Rainbow Form’s One Rainbow Light and Wisdom Form’s Wisdom Core, One unleashes a concentrated beam of solar energies from his entire body. This destructive attack is enough to kill most enemies with one shot.
• Hexagonal Rainfall: One’s strongest attack in this form or as an Ultra. One creates a planetary-sized ball of solar energies, before dispersing it in the form of energy rainfalls after throwing said ball gently on the sky.
  • In the final fight against Evil Messiah, this attack was used to revive deceased Ultras and also undo the universal damage caused during the conflict as well as empowering himself and Cure.
  • In Ultraman Geed Reboot, this attack was used offensively to wipe up Belial’s army during the Crisis Impact and force this form into temporary recovery.
• Hexagonal Chest Beam: A very powerful beam of solar energies fired from his chest.
• Emerium Triple Burst: After charging his triple Beam Lamps, One fires an evolution of his Emerium Cannon from each of them When the beams are combined, they can severely damage the opponent. He can fire them rapidly, similar to Normal Form’s Rainbow Slash.
• Nova Blazium: An evolution of Blaze Form’s One Blazium Beam, charged with solar energies.
• Nova Vanisher: An evolution of Agile Form’s One Vanisher, charged with solar energies.
• Final Sluggerium: An evolution of the Sluggerium Break, severely weakened foes with manifestations of himself ramming through them.
• Hexagonal Eclipse: An evolution of Crescent Form’s One Eclipse Spark. One erects a gigantic eclipse blade of solar energy and sends it to cut through the target.

• Hexagonal Punch: One’s most powerful punching attack, charging his arms with solar energies.
• Hexagonal Chop: Chop version of his Hexagonal Punch, charged with solar energies.
• Hexagonal Kick: One’s most powerful kick, charging his foot with solar energies.
• Hexagonal Rammer: One engulfs himself with solar energies and rams his foes at full speed.
• Hexagonal Whipper: One charges his hands with solar energies, and throws his foes with great strength.

Combination

• Hexagonal Drift: One first creates a gigantic energy halo in front of him, before firing an energy beam of solar energies towards it followed by Cure launching energy barrages of Curium Water. After boosting the gigantic energy halo with omnipotent power and speed, the attack is then unleashed to completely obliterate the opponent and was used to destroy Evil Messiah.
• Sixtuple Phoenix: After Cure summoned his Curium Dragons, One further empowers them with energy projections of his Sixtuple Sluggers. The dragons then act as energy blades to slash the opponent rapidly and gradually tear apart their body.
• Hexagonal Curium: One combines his Hexagonal Stream with Cure's Curium Sun Stream to form a very powerful energy beam.
• Hexagonal Wall: One and Cure stands back to back, engulfing themselves with solar energies and Curium Water particles to empower themselves and also creating a barrier that is impenetrable by Evil Messiah’s attacks.
• Double Punch: A combination punch with Cure.
• Double Kick: A combination kick with Cure.

Virus

This is the corrupted form of One under the effects of Voiderium. Powers are the same but corrupted with the said substance.

Abilities

• Personality Change: In this form, his personality undergoes a drastic change and is twisted with malicious intentions and negative emotions. This was in fact shown during his rebellion years and having blamed everyone for his cause and was extremely disrespectful in his words. He overcame the aforementioned qualities after the advice of Ultraman King.

Trivia

• One breaks his family’s trend of having the Ultra Eye for transformation, followed by his daughter.
• One's Normal Form originally had more colours involved, before confirming on red and green; which are inherited from his parents.
  • One's drawing is done by Apezx and an image of his Original Form was made by Dtf. His original and alternate designs for his other forms by Moar, Cdr and Grenburr123. His current designs of them are made by Furnozilla.
• One, alongside Xena and Giga, had rejected joining the Ultra Brothers.
• One first debuted in Climatic Battle! Ultraman Reuz and One vs Faust and due to the retconning of events, his backstory and his mother's identity were only added in a later date.
  • His backstory was originally the same and rip-off from Zero with the concepts of Ginga incorporated in, and his series was initially meant to have 60 episodes. Excerlics decided to admit the aforementioned facts, as a reminder of how his works improved throughout the years.
    • Taking apart their father and son relationship, One is considered a "New Generation Zero", with his main design and several of his other forms to be based on Zero himself.
    • Ironically, One's final battle with Belial serves as a parallel to Ginga and Dark Lugiel in the former's first season episode finale, where each of them wielded their respective spark devices and calling on the power of rainbow for their finishing moves. Interestingly, One had fought against doppelgangers of himself throughout the course of his series, similar to how Ginga and Lugiel are light and darkness counterparts of each other.
