Ultra-Fan Wiki

Hey everyone, SolZen advised me to make a blog for things regarding the UltraFan RPG, so I'm going to do just that. I'll just be going over a few things I'd like to recommend. if you have anything to suggest about the game, you should probably do it here instead of flooding the main page's comment section. I'll even put up your suggestions and thoughts if you comment on this blog post.

As you can see, a lot of these classes have vastly different stats, such as yellow Ultras having a +600 to their total and violet Ultras' stat boost total up to 0. These large differences can also be seen in the figthing styles, which may affect gameplay heavily. In order to obtain very high base stats, a user could make a Mixed Ultra who is a beam fighter and a martial artist, with a base stat total of at least 6200, not even counting the flight speed stat, and dominate the game especially in one-on-one matches. A method to counter this is in the suggestions section of this blog post.

Suggestions[]

  • Base stat distribution:
  1. UltraGrenburr12678: standardize the stat boosts to around +500 for each and every single class. This would mean that every character has the same total base stats(not including flight speed), so that the game is won not by the better character, but the better strategy. Also, all characters get an additional +500 points to be distributed as the creator of the character sees fit.
  2. Clee26: all classes should have the same base stat but then changes depending on the sub-class

Since we are clearly stuck, why not we have a poll to decide which method we're using? (ENDED)

  • Charge System: Players can use a turn to Charge their character to increase the Charge value, with the maximum Charge being 5. Each special ability depending on its power/usefulness, would consume a different number of charges. For example, St(o)rium Ray would cost 3 Charges, while Ultra Dynamite costs 4 and 5 for Cosmo Miracle Ray. Stats are then deducted so that players wouldn't spam abilities.

Another poll (ENDED):

  • All rounder class: This should be self-explanatory but for the sake of it...This class should have balanced stats in all areas.
  • Odd Coloured Ultras
  1. Some Ultras have REALLY odd colours as their primary colour such as white, grey and black, which don't seem to be of any significance. I suggest not giving them stat boosts based on their colour, but they get an additional +500 (or however much the new stat total will be) points to be freely distributed.
  2. As some of us know (otherwise you should go look around this wiki more...) some of us have created Ultras with rather...odd colours like Green, Orange, etc. In order to get the stats for them, we get the average of the stats of the other colour that make it up. For example (current stat distrbution):
  • Orange Ultra (Red+Yellow)
    • Health: +150
    • Energy: +300
    • Strength: +50
    • Endurance: +50
    • Speed: -100
    • Stat Total: +450
  • Green Ultra (Blue+Yellow)
    • Health: +50
    • Energy: +250
    • Strength: -100
    • Endurance: -100
    • Speed: +100
    • Stat Total: +200

  • Ginga no Tameni says...:
    • Since the game is turn-based, I guess we can make the battle system similar to Final Fantasy. Well, to start up, there are 4 choices in the battle: Fight, Finisher, Charge, and Fusion. Fight is used to hit the opponent. Finisher is used to perform a finishing attack. It is a must to use it to end the battle (Kinda like in FE3). Charge is Grenburr's idea and Fusion can be used as a temporary move or a permanent one. For Form-Changing Ultras, there will be a 5th choice called "Mode Change". The choice is self-explanatory.
    • Since the Ultras have different stats based on their color, the Kaijus need to have differents stats based on their attribute like Water, Wind, etc. Cyber Kaiju need to be present in order for Ultraman X to use them as Cyber Armor/Monsarmor. You can't summon the component Ultras from Orb's Fusion Ups if you summon Orb. (e.g. You can't summon Ultraman and Tiga if you summon Orb Spacium Zeperion).
    • Just got an idea from the SRW series and the team-up attacks there. If the Ultras are compatible, make them do a team-up attack. (ex. Cosmos and Justice = Cross Perfection & Tiga and Dyna = TD Bomber)
