The Stranger is an alien kaiju from Ultraman Gamma.
Appearance[]
The Stranger is a massive dragon-like kaiju that stands taller than Ultraman Gamma himself. He has two wings made of energy that vanish when he is not using them. He has two massive spikes on his back that the wings come out the bottom of, along with two smallers spikes underneath them. The bottom of the wings touch the top of these spikes. He has multiple spikes on his head, along with two giant horns. He has large claws on all four of his limbs to be used for combat. Under all of his armor his body appears to be made of shadows. Under his body armor The Stranger is made up of black vines, twisted into a form.
During his time in the Orion Continuity, The Stranger gained shoulder cannons after being attacked by an Ultra. These had vanished by the time he fought Ultraman Gamma, being replaced with large spikes.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Shadow Destroyer: The Stranger can use his evil power to blast a large city from the face of the earth.
- Dark Beam: The Stranger can fire a powerful dark energy beam from his mouth.
- Adaption: The Stranger can adapt to attacks, growing weapons, spikes and armor.
- Tectonic Quake Stomp: The Stranger can cause earthquakes by stomping on the ground.
- Telekinesis: The Stranger can levitate and throw objects using his mind.
- Telepathy: The Stranger can communicate using telepathy.
- Flight: The Stranger can generate two massive energy wings on his back to fly.
- Tentacles: The Stranger can launch shadowy tentacles from his body to attack enemies.
- Merge: The Stranger can merge with humans, enhancing their natural abilities and granting them strange powers.
History[]
Ancient Times[]
The Stranger was one of the offspring of the Father of Darkness. During the Darkness War, the spawn of shadows went up against several powerful Ultras. He struck down many, but was eventually defeated by their combined might, and hurled through dimensions, ending up the Gamma Continuity.
Trivia[]
- The Stranger was inspired by Stranger from the Dark Horse Godzilla and Beast the One from ULTRAMAN. His quake stomp ability was inspired by Gelnoide from Bio Planet WoO.
- The Stranger is stronger than all three of his inspirations.
- The Stranger quotes Smaug from The Hobbit, substituting fire for shadow.
