Reigubas is a crustacean Kaiju that appears in Ultraman Legacy.
History[]
Reigubas was a Kaiju of unknown origin that found it's way to Earth. Upon landing in the arctic, Reigubas soon awakened and began moving towards Japan, where it eventually surfaced and rampaged in a coastal city. The AKDF's navy force had been unable to halt the monster's progress, so the AKDF Special Combat Unit was sent in to defeat Reigubas. The durable monster tanked all of their attacks and nearly took down their jets, but luckily, Ultraman Legacy appeared to battle the monster. Legacy soon took on Reigubas, with the Kaiju being a formidable foe. As they continued to battle it appeared the two were evenly matched, with no victor in sight. Legacy soon gained the upper hand due to being much faster than the crustacean Kaiju, soon quickly dodging Reigubas's attacks,however the monster's tough exoskeleton made most punches and kicks ineffective, even if energized. Legacy's cutters also did little to Thur the monster, so he formed his blade in order to cut Reigubas down for good. Charging in, Legacy managed to slice off one of Reigubas's pincers, causing the monster to reel back in pain. With Reigubas distracted, Legacy allowed the energy of his blade to dissipate, and fired his beam at Reigubas, causing a large explosion. Reigubas survived the attack however, but was still heavily injured. Legacy's color timer began to blink, and he prepared to fire again, as Reigubas began to get back on it's feet. However, another beam came out of nowhere and destroyed Reigubas. Legacy looked up, shocked by this, seeing a blue Ultra, Ultraman Sect, standing nearby. The blue Ultra looked at Legacy, then flew off. Although confused, Legacy simply flew himself, to regain his energies and return to human form.
Later, Reigubas was revealed to be a creation of Ultraman Astro.
Reigubas became a component of the chimera monster known as Five King.
Abilities[]
- Type Change: Reigubas can change his type from fire to ice or ice to fire.When he does it, his eye color changes as well, with blue for ice and red for fire.
- Ice Type: Reigubas' default form. Reigubas can also change into the fire type as well.
- Freeze Gas: Reigubas can unleash a powerful freezing mist from his mouth that can even freeze Ultras.
- Fire Type: Reigubas' secondary form. Reigubas can also change back into ice type.
- Fireball: Reigubas can fire powerful fireballs from his mouth. However, the heat of the fireballs can cause a counter effect to a frozen enemy.
- Ice Type: Reigubas' default form. Reigubas can also change into the fire type as well.
- Exoskeleton: Thanks to it's exoskeleton, Reigubas can resist the extremely cold temperature of Antarctica and able to resist minor assaults.
