Melba (メルバ Meruba^?) is a dragon-like kaiju that appeared in Neo Ultraman Neos. He appeared in episode TBA.

History[]

Neo Ultraman Neos[]

Prophesied to return with Golza long ago, Melba emerged from the side of a mountain on a island during the night and shortly after took off to join Golza to kill Gomora. Melba reunited with Golza as Golza was pining Gomora to the ground and assisted the kaiju to attack Gomora. Ultraman Neos arrives and Gomora joins in the fight to Golza and Melba. Eventually, Golza's feet were broken during the battle after Neos. Melba was left to defend its ally as Golza fled underground and was able to outmaneuver one of Neos' powers, the battle turned back to the ultra's favor and Melba was destroyed by Neos' Specium Ray after Neos used his Sky Kick to knock the flying kaiju to ground.

Trivia[]

Melba's roar is reused from Alien Metron from Heisei Ultraseven.
Melba's role in the episode was to pay homage to episode 1 of Ultraman Tiga, except changed definitely along with Golza.

Powers and Abilities[]

Melbanic Ray: Melba can charge and launch a rapid succession of powerful, yellow, highly explosive energy dart blasts of yellow missile-strength energy fired from each of his eyes.
Clubbed Feet: Melba's feet are solid club-like objects that can be used to batter foes while he's airborne.
Strong Beak: Melba's beak is strong enough to shatter solid stone without retaining any damage.
Flight: Melba's wings enable him to fly.

Melba reappeared in several episodes in the series, Neo Ultra Fight.

Melba along with Golza first appeared in episode 5 where they battled Red King. Red King soon overpowered the two monsters and killed both of them.
