Keronia is a plant Kaiju who appears in Ultraman Legacy.
History[]
Keronia was one of three plant kaiju created by Dr. Shirigami to aid his previous creation, Biollante. Keronia in particular was created by combining plant DNA with that of a human and possibly an alien. He, along with Greenmons and Astromons ll were sent out to rampage across the city with Biollante, causing large amounts of damage. The AKDF was helpless to stop the four Kaiju, although Keronia proved to be the least durable of the four. Soon enough, Ultraman Legacy and Godzilla appeared to take on the four monsters.
At first, Keronia helped Astromons ll and Greenmons in their battle with Legacy whilst Biollante took on Godzilla. However, eventually the Legacy and Godzilla began to work together, managing to defeat the four plant Kaiju through their combined effort, with Keronia himself being destroyed by a blast of Godzilla's atomic breath.
In the aftermath of the battle, it turned out that Keronia had survived, as a smaller Keronia was seen walking away from the remains of it's larger self, and taking on a human disguise and escaping the scene, going unnoticed by the AKDF.
Abilities[]
- Energy Beams: Keronia can fire fairly strong beams of energy from its eyes. When at a human size, these beams can temporarily paralyze a human.
- Human Disguise: In order to blend in with normal human society, Keronia can disguise itself as a human. This was seen at the end of the episode, alluding to Keronia's return.
- Size Change: Keronia is capable of changing its size from that of a man to that of a giant at will.
Trivia[]
- Keronia is one of two of the Kaiju in this episode to have been seen surviving the events, as Biollante was presumed to be able to regenerate from her seeming demise, and Keronia was outright seen surviving.
